(MARTINSVILLE) - A Martinsville man was killed Saturday night after crashing his dirt bike.
According to Indiana Conservation Officers, 22-year-old Colton Wright was at a friend's home riding his Yamaha 450 dirt bike on the property and was traveling on Ballinger Road when he left the roadway, striking a tree.
A passerby found Wright off the road and called 911 at approximately 8 p.m. CPR was performed at the crash site but Wright was pronounced dead at IU Health Morgan County Hospital.
Officers say Wright was not wearing a helmet. It is not known at this time if alcohol was a factor in the crash.
The crash is being investigated by Indiana Conservation Officer Lance Labonte. He is assisted by Morgan County Sheriff Department.
