(BEDFORD) - Wearing a trash bag suit designed by Hefty and Glad, Bedford North Lawrence senior Mark Hudelson was named Mr. BNL Friday at the BNL Performing Arts Center.
Hudelson, the son of Jeff and Julia Hudelson, represented the Latin Club in the Mr. BNL Renaissance fundraiser.
Hudelson was one of 15 young men that competed in the The BNL Renaissance 12th annual Mr. BNL, an all-male beauty contest, at the Bedford North Lawrence Performing Arts Center.
The teens were judged in five categories at the annual spoof on beauty pageants. Mr. BNL is the primary fundraiser of Renaissance, which encourages and rewards students for good attendance and improving their grades.
Each candidate represents a school club or team. The teens are judged on a fitness routine (20 points), costume (25 points), talent (20 points), formalwear/interview (25 points) and overall impression (10 points.)
