Man Arrested After Fight At People's Park

(BLOOMINGTON) - A Bloomington man was arrested on charges of resisting arrest Sunday.

According to Bloomington police, officers arrested 60-year-old Leroy Neal, at about 12:49 p.m. Sunday after a fight at People's Park in the 500 block of East Kirkwood Avenue.

When officers arrived they saw Neal standing in the middle of the park waving his hands. He told police he had hit someone during a fight, but didn't know who the man was.

As other officers arrived, Neal began to physically resist the officers.

The man injured was taken to IU Health Bloomington Hospital to receive treatment for a scuff to his forehead.
