(PAOLI) - A Bloomington man was arrested and charged with dealing heroin after Paoli police found more than 7 grams of heroin, cash and pills during a traffic stop Sunday.

Police arrested 27-year-old Kyle James Taylor. He is being held without bond on charges of dealing heroin, possession of a Schedule IV controlled substance and drug paraphernalia, and operating a vehicle while intoxicated on a controlled substance.

The Paoli Police Department received information from a concerned citizen of a possible intoxicated driver heading into town. Officers observed the vehicle speeding and stopped it.

According to the report, officers "observed several signs of impairment."

Officers saw Taylor reach for something in the door panel on the driver's side of the vehicle and officers than, for purposes of safety, instructed Taylor to get out of the vehicle.

Police determined Taylor was reaching for a recently used syringe.

Police report seizing the syringe and several baggies containing heroin weighing more than 7 grams, found $559 in cash, multiple pills and other drug paraphernalia during a search of the vehicle.

In January Taylor was arrested on felony charges of dealing cocaine and conspiracy to deal heroin after an undercover investigation. Taylor was arrested after he allegedly sold heroin to an informant.
