(BEDFORD) - Students from the North Lawrence Career Center recently competed in the Midwest welding competition in Indianapolis.
This is a team competition which includes five members covering FCAW, SMAW, GMAW, GTAW and theory.
Will Cross placed third in theory, winning a trophy and a $5,000 scholarship to the Ohio Technical College PowerSport Institute.
The two teams Mr. McCart took to the competition were sponsored by Indiana Steel and Engineering, Manchester Tank, Sigma Steel and Stone City Ironworks.
A big thanks to these companies for helping the welding students attend the competition.
