Tip From Bedford Police Leads To Arrest Of Seven In Medora

(MEDORA) - A tip from the Bedford Police Department led to the arrest of seven people on drug-related charges at a residence in Medora.

Arrested were 43-year-old Ronetta Lane; her brother, 45-year-old Anthony Lane, another family member, 23-year-old Joshua Lane; Lane's girlfriend, 26-year-old Jennifer East and 19-year-old Tucker Brewer; all of Medora. Also arrested were 40-year-old Joseph Blake and his wife 33-year-old Talia Blake, both of Bedford.

According to a Jackson County Sheriff's Department press release, all were arrested at a residence in 100 block of North Jackson Street, in Medora where the Lanes and East live.

The investigation began after Bedford Police detectives contacted Jackson County officers late Thursday night about possible drug activity in the home.

Police obtained a search warrant from Jackson County Superior Court I Judge Bruce Markel and the Jackson County SWAT Team went to the home.

During the search officers found more than 15 grams of crystal meth, cash and drug paraphernalia.

Police say the investigation is ongoing, and additional charges could be requested.

Officers with the Bedford Police Department, Lawrence County Sheriff's Department, Brownstown Police Department and Medora Police Department assisted with the investigation and arrests.
