(BEDFORD) - A Springville man was arrested after he allegedly took nude pictures of a 14-year-old and 16-year-old girl.
Both girls claim 20-year-old Jacob Mitchell of Springville raped them.
But later both girls told police that the sex was consensual. The girls told police they made up the story about being raped "to cover up engaging in a threesome." The incident happened on November 15 at a home in the 2700 block of Washington Avenue.
According to jail records, Mitchell was arrested in January for dissemination of matter harmful to minors for taking the photos and after the mother of the 14-year-old told police she had received the nude pictures in messages.
Mitchell had also admitted in Facebook messages to the 14-year-old's sister and to police that he had sex with the girls. He also admitted to taking a picture of both girls while they were naked on a bed.
In Indiana, the age of consent is 16, so an arrest warrant was issued for Mitchell's arrest on a felony charge of sexual misconduct with a minor.
