Salem Man Arrested After Police Find Drugs, Weapons And Cash

(SALEM) - A Salem man was arrested after police find drugs, weapons and cash after searching his home.

At approximately 7:30 Wednesday, Indiana State Police troopers from the Sellersburg State Police Post along with officers from the Salem Police Department and the Washington County Sheriff's Department served a search warrant at a home at 1651 Sparks Ferry Road in Salem.

28-year-old Brandon Durbin along with his girlfriend live in the home.

Police found meth, marijuana, numerous shotguns, rifles and pistols, drug paraphernalia and more than $10,000 in cash. All of the items were taken as evidence.

Officers also located numerous items - tools, lawn and garden equipment and appliances - they believe were stolen from a local Salem business.

Those items were later confirmed to be the stolen items and were collected as evidence.

Officers arrested Durbin on felony charges of dealing heroin and meth and a Schedule 3 controlled substance, possession of meth and marijuana, maintaining a common nuisance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

The case is still under investigation and more charges are pending.
