(BLOOMINGTON) - Bloomington police investigated a report that men in trucks threatened each other with handguns on a snow-covered street Sunday.

Police were called at 5 p.m. after a man reported he had dropped off his son in the 300 block of North Roosevelt Street when a Ford truck headed down the road in the opposite direction.

Police say the snow-covered street didn't have a wide enough opening to accommodate one truck passing the other.

Police say the young male driver of the Ford got impatient, stopped and walked to the complainant's driver's door. The driver of the truck told police when he approached the vehicle he saw the man had a black handgun, so he returned to his truck.

Then the caller's son exited the vehicle and began yelling at the driver of the truck. That is when the driver of the truck pulled a semi-automatic handgun and pointed it out the window.

When police arrived both men refused to provide sworn statements and both men were licensed to have their weapons. No charges were filed.
