(FAYETTEVILLE) - A Bedford man was injured in a two-vehicle accident on State Road 158 Wednesday afternoon.
According to a Lawrence County Police report, 36-year-old Erica Fender of Heltonville was traveling east on State Road 158 and texting while driving when she drove her 1993 Chrysler Fifth Avenue across the center line and struck a 2000 General Motors Sierra driven by 64-year-old Larry Robertson.
Fenders car struck the driver's side, causing Robertson's vehicle to run off the north side of the road into a ditch.
Robertson complained of head and neck pain and was taken by private vehicle to a local hospital. Fender was not injured during the incident.
Fender was cited for driving while her driver's license was suspended.
