(MITCHELL) - The Mitchell dance placed second during the Indiana High School Dance Team Association’s state competition Friday and Saturday in New Castle.
The 15-member Mitchell High School dance squad placed second with each of its pom, kick and jazz routines.
The small ensemble of Fiona Schlegel, Emily Brothers, Sarah Bredeweg and KyAnn Terrell placed fifth on Friday night.
The junior high squad placed second in the state with its jazz routine and fourth with its hip hop routine.
Olivia Lagle, a Mitchell Junior High School student, placed third with her solo routine.
