Kids Can Play With Lego At Bedford Public Library During Spring Break

(BEDFORD) - Hundreds of Lego bricks are made available every Monday night for free play time for children of all ages at the Bedford Public Library, 1323 K St.

The Lego bricks are on loan from the Indiana State Library. They will be available through the end of this month.

Spring break

Board games, toys, a drawing table for younger children as well as activity sheets and books are available for creative play and reading -- all of which might be attractive to youngsters on spring break.

'Stage Combat'

Children can learn how to create a fight scene just the way it's done in live theatrical productions when Compass Creative Dramatics presents "Stage Combat" at 4:30 p.m. April 21 for grades kindergarten through fifth-graders and at 5:30 p.m. for teenagers. The programs are offered at no charge, but registration is required. Register by calling (812) 275-4471 or visit www.bedlib.org and go to the library calendar.

Free movie

All ages are invited to see "The Box Trolls" on the big screen at the library at 6:30 p.m. March 27. There is no registration, and the movie is offered at no charge. Children must be accompanied by adults. Free popcorn will be available.
