Homeward Bound 5K Walk To Raise Money To Benefit Homeless

(BLOOMINGTON) - The 13th Annual Homeward Bound 5K Walk will be Sunday, April 19 at The Waldron, Hill and Buskirk Park on Third Street in Bloomington from Noon until 3p.m.

The event is to raise money to benefit the homeless in Monroe County. All of the funds will stay locally.

This year five agencies will benefit from the event: Amethyst House, LIFEDesigns, Martha's House, Shalom Community Center and Stepping Stones.

Indiana raised more than $3.5 million through Homeward Bound walks over the past decade.

Individuals may form a team to solicit funds for the event or they can designate the funds go to a specific agency.

Teams and individuals can sign up until April 16.
