(WASHINGTON) - Four people were hurt in an accident on U.S. 50 near the intersection of Clark Road Friday morning.

According to a Daviess County Police report, 19-year-old Bethany Dlugosz of Washington was driving west on West National Highway in a Honda Element when her car hydroplaned on the wet roadway.

The vehicle then crossed the center line and collided head on with a Ford pickup truck driven by 18-year-old William Hill of Montgomery.

Dlugosz was not wearing a seatbelt and her passenger, 3-year-old Payton Bath of Washington, was not in a retrained in a proper car seat.

Bath was thrown into the windshield and suffered multiple injuries. Both her and Dlugosz were taken to St. Mary's Hospital.

Hill complained of pain and his passenger 26-year-old Heath Berry, of Washington was also injured.

Hill was wearing a seatbelt, but Berry was not wearing a seatbelt.

They were both taken to Good Samaritan Hospital where they were treated and later released

Deputies say they intend to cite Dlugosz with multiple violations in connection with the accident.
