(BEDFORD) - The City of Bedford announced that they will purchase the Arthur Paving Co. and Company Concourse buildings at 1414 H Street.
The Arthur Paving Co. and Company Concourse buildings are owned by Jeff and Valerie Arthur.
The Board of Works sought two appraisals for the property. They received one for $248,00 and another for $217,500.
The board voted to offer split the difference and offered $232,750 for the land and buildings which the Arthur's accepted. The money for the purchase will come out of the street department's budget.
The city plans to use the building to house the Street Department that has outgrown its current facility on H Street, just north of the property that was purchased.
