Last updated on Wednesday, March 11, 2015

(BLOOMINGTON) - A Bloomington man was arrested Sunday night on charges of rape, criminal confinement, intimidation and auto theft.

21-year-old Aaron N. Anton Lee reportedly raped a female, who was a friend of a friend, after the victim went out to the bars, and later Night Moves, with friends. The woman told police she doesn't remember where the alleged sexual assault happened.

Police say Lee and the woman were in her vehicle Sunday night and at one point he told her that he would harm her if she tried to exit the vehicle.

Eventually the woman was able to escape and Lee left.

The woman didn't have her phone and a couple saw her walking along the road and took her home, where she contacted police.

The woman was taken then taken to IU Health Bloomington Hospital for a rape examination.

Officers recovered the woman's vehicle in the 500 block of South Basswood Drive, where they found Lee.

Lee told police the two had consensual sex, but he had no explanation on why he took the woman's car.
