(BLOOMINGTON) - A Bloomington man was arrested Thursday on a rape charge.
According to a Bloomington Police report, 37-year-old Joshua Roach was arrested after a woman whom Roach had previously been in a relationship will allowed him to stay at her apartment.
The woman woke to Roach on top of her having intercourse.
The woman reported the rape at 2:20 a.m. Thursday and was taken to IU Health Bloomington Hospital for an examination and rape kit.
Later in the day officers found Roach exiting a vehicle at the intersection of Fifth and Rodgers streets.
He was taken to the Bloomington Police station for questioning and was later arrested.
