Bloomington Police Officer Bill Abram Named Officer Of The Year

(BLOOMINGTON) - Bloomington Police Officer Bill Abram was named the 2014 Officer of the Year.

Officer Abram was recognized for his overall performance in 2014, but the primarily for interrupting a sexual assault on two woman. The women were being held at gunpoint. The suspects fired at Officer Abram as they fled the home they broke into.

Officer Abram returned fire and struck both suspects. After they were shot ,Officer Abram rendered medical aid to the suspects.

Other personnel were recognized for their performance and received Lifesaving Awards, Merit Awards and Merit Certificates.
