(BEDFORD) - 46-year-old Deanna Jones was sentenced to eight years with the Indiana Department of Correction Wednesday after pleading guilty to dealing methamphetamine.
Jones was arrested in January 2014 after Oolitic and Bedford police officers served a warrant to search a home at 421 M St. As a result of a joint narcotic investigation between the two police departments she was arrested with James Ingram and Kevin Way.
The officers found methamphetamine and marijuana at the home. Also, a child was removed from the home by the Department of Child Services.
Upon release from prison, Jones will report to the community corrections program. Judge Michael Robbins of Lawrence Superior Court I has ordered that two of those years be served on supervised probation. Jones received credit for the 42 days she already served.
Jones was also indicted on several other counts including two charges of dealing methamphetamine, Class A felonies; possession of methamphetamine, Class B felony; maintaining a common nuisance, Class D felony; and neglect of a dependent, Class D felony -- were dismissed.
