(DAVIESS CO.) - Daviess County police are investigating a domestic dispute that sent a woman to the hospital and a man to jail.
Police rushed to an area on Old Highway 50 near Maysville Road at 5:51 p.m. Thursday after a report of a woman beating on a man along the side of the road.
When officers arrived they found both the man and the woman laying in the roadway.
Police say it is unclear whether Jamie Bland jumped from a moving pickup truck or was thrown from it.
The woman, who suffered a head injury was flown by helicopter to St. Mary's Hospital in Evansville for treatment.
Police arrested 40-year-old James Sisco II of Loogootee on a charge of operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated on a controlled substance resulting in bodily injury.
The incident remains under investigation.
