Utility Assistance Available For New Applicants

(UNDATED) - Hoosier Uplands is continuing to accept new applications for the Energy Assistance Program in Lawrence, Orange, Martin and Washington counties.

Residents need to contact their local office to apply.

Eligibility for the Energy Program will be limited to those households with a confirmed income at or below 150 percent of the office of Management and Budge Poverty Guidelines. Appointments are scheduled on a first call first schedule basis.

Household sizes followed by Maximum Gross Household Annual Income:

  1. 17,505
  2. 23,595
  3. 29,685
  4. 35,775
  5. 41,865

To calculate for larger families add $6,045 for each additional household member.

This service is provided through the Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) Block Grant, a federally funded block grant through the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
