(MITCHELL) - Two people were arrested early Sunday morning after a K-9 alerted police to possible drugs in a vehicle.

A Mitchell police officer stopped a vehicle on Ind. 37 at the Marathon Station on a traffic violation at 12:38 a.m.

The officer said the occupants of the vehicle were acting suspicious so he requested a K-9 officer.

The dog alerted police to possible drugs in the vehicle. Officers found meth.

Officers arrested 39-year-old Jeffrey Crane of Mitchell on charges of driving while their driver's license suspended with prior convictions and possession of a schedule I controlled substance and 35-year-old Jami Kidd of Mitchell on a charge of possession of a controlled substance.
