(BLOOMINGTON) - Bloomington Police are investigating an attempted robbery after a man armed with a gun approached a group of individuals walking home from Upland Brewing Co. Friday night.
According to police the attempted robbery was reported around 9 p.m. in the 200 block of West 14th Street.
Bloomington Police Sgt. Steve Kellams says a black man in his mid-20s wearing a tan jacket and blue jeans stopped the group and threatened to shoot them if they didn't give him money.
Witnesses say the man never showed them the gun and the group just ignored him and continued walking without giving the man any money.
