Indiana State Police Investigating Bloomfield Murder

(BLOOMFIELD) - Indiana Police are investigating the murder of 22-year-old DJ “Douglas” Lockhart.

Police were called to a home at 332 South Lewis Street near the Bloomfield Police Department regarding a stabbing.

Lockhart had been stabbed and was pronounced dead at the scene by the Greene County Coroner.

An autopsy was scheduled for this morning at Terre Haute Regional Hospital confirmed Lockhart died of a stab wound to the heart. The number of wounds is not known at this time.

Police say no arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.

Lockhart is the father of a child he shared with 18-year-old Marina Boelter.

Police say Lockhart was one of the last people to see Boelter the night she disappeared. She was last seen with Lockhart on December 31 outside of the Bloomfield IGA where she worked.

As of this morning, there has been no indication that the stabbing is related to Boelter's disappearance.
