(BEDFORD) - The Board of Commissioners of the Housing Authority of City of Bedford, will meet in special session on Thursday at 1 p.m., in the Hauck House Commons located at 1305 K St.

Executive Director Joe Klumpp says the sole purpose of this meeting will be to discuss and consider official business as pertaining to the fire in building #7 at Hamilton Courts that happened on January 26.

Bedford Fire Department Chief Jon Wagner says the fire started after a worker attempting to remove tile in a bathroom floor using a torch ignited some Celotex in the walls.

The fire damaged two units on the east side of the building. One was under renovations and not occupied, the other had one tenant.
