(BLOOMINGTON) - Growing Opportunities, a free job training program for unemployed, low-income adults, is accepting applications for participants, volunteers and interns.
Applications are available online at www.insccap.org/pages/growingopportunities and are due Feb. 27.
The course is scheduled to begin in March.
The greenhouse job training course is a 20-week, 200-hour program that aims to teach agricultural skills and other soft skills transferable to various careers.
Job placement assistance also will be available after course completion.
Training will take place at the new hydroponic greenhouse adjacent to Stone Belt in Bloomington.
