(BEDFORD) - The Lawrence County Council approved a request from Maj. Steve Gilbert of the Bedford Police Department to accept a grant of $34,584 from the Criminal Justice Institute to be used by the Lawrence County Drug Abuse Council.
Gilbert says the council is comprised of representatives from several community agencies that work in unison to eliminate illegal drugs within the area.
