Bloomington Business Owner To Cover Cost Of Stolen Girl Scout Cookies

(BLOOMINGTON) - A Bloomington business owner, who wishes to remain anonymous, told Bloomington police he plans to cover the cost of Girl Scout cookies that were reported stolen from a woman’s car.

Bloomington Police are looking for the suspect or suspects that stole $360 worth of Girl Scout cookies from a vehicle of a Bloomington woman.

The woman told police 40 boxes of Thin Mints, 32 boxes Tagalons, 15 boxes of Samoas and three boxes of Trefoils were stolen.

The woman reported the theft Saturday, but told police she was no sure when the cookies were taken from her vehicle.

According to a press release from Bloomington Police Capt. Joe Qualters the woman had the cases of cookies in her vehicle while making deliveries throughout Bloomington since February 2.

She also left the cookies in her unlocked vehicle in her driveway in the 1700 block of Durham Drive.

Anyone with information about the stolen cookies is asked to contact the Bloomington Police Department.
