(BLOOMFIELD) - A Bloomfield man was arrested after he allegedly shoved a child and hit a woman.

Bloomfield police arrested 48-year-old Baysul Buckner Jr. on preliminary charges of battery to a child under 14 years old and domestic battery. He was later charged with disorderly conduct.

According to a probable cause affidavit, the woman told police her daughter was working on crafts when Buckner told her to go to the bedroom, then shoved the girl into a chair. The woman says she attempted to stop Buckner from injuring the child and that is when he allegedly grabbed her head and began hitting her with a case of beer. He then began hitting her in the face with his fist. That is when the daughter ran back into the room and pulled Buckner's hair to get him to stop hitting the woman. The woman was able to escape and she and the girl fled to a bedroom where the girl called 911. Both suffered swelling and other injuries

When police arrived, Buckner admitted to being in an argument with the woman and told police he had drank about 15 beers that day.

Buckner was arrested. While being processed at the Greene County Jail Buckner allegedly would not cooperate with jail officers. Buckner allegedly stood up, took off his shirt and flexed his muscles and then attempted to fight with the officers. He was finally placed in a cell and was then charged with disorderly conduct.
