(BEDFORD) - The cliche warns not to judge a book by its cover -- especially if the cover is plain brown paper.

Teens and others can select a blind date from a display of books wrapped in brown paper in Teen Services at the Bedford Public Library.

Hints about each book's contents are written on the outside of the wrapper.

Hints include: "If you kidnap a fairy, you should expect to pay the consequences" and "A new boy is in town ... but he has a crooked smile and a deal with the devil."

When a blind date is selected, teens can enter their names for a weekly drawing to win a book.

Several book prizes will be awarded each week.
