(MITCHELL) - A Bedford man was arrested after he allegedly punched a juvenile male in the face Sunday afternoon.

According to a Mitchell police report, Kenneth Lamotagneof Bedford and another male were plowing the lot at the travel agency at South Ninth Street and U.S. 60 East when a woman stopped and complained they were creating a traffic hazard.

Lamotagne then allegedly called the woman a derogatory term and that is when her son stepped forward to confront Lamotagne about his language.

45-year-old Lamotagne then allegedly punched the juvenile in the left side of the face. The woman pushed Lamotagne away and he then hit her in the neck.

A witness confirmed the woman's and juvenile's story and Lamotagne was arrested on two counts of battery.
