Annual Baby Fair To Have More Than 60 Exhibitors

(BLOOMINGTON) - Southern Indiana’s premier annual Baby Fair, offering resources on everything from pregnancy through preschool, will take place March 8 from 1 p.m. till 4 p.m. at the Bloomington Convention Center.

The event is free and the first 300 families will receive reusable swag bags with samples and coupons related to family life.

"This year's Baby Fair is the largest yet, with more than 60 exhibitors, allowing families to connect with the information, services, and products they need," said Joy Jones, event coordinator.

In addition, there will be seminars presented by experts on breastfeeding, green cleaning, and infant massage, as well as demonstrations by Windfall Dancers, Musical Beginnings, The Babywearing Project, and Dancing for Birth.

Other activities will include a magic show by Octopus Ink, a bouncy house, PBS story time with a visit from PBS character, Word Girl, henna hand and belly painting, car seat safety checks, and valuable door prizes.

The Baby Fair is presented by Bloomington Area Birth Services (BABS) and the 2015 sponsors are: Southern Indiana Pediatric Dentistry, Osmon Chiropractic Center, Indiana University Health, Collaborating for Kids, Managed Health Services (MHS), Flora Massage and Wellness Services, Super Oldies 105.5 WQRK, Midwest Color Printing, The Herald Times, WTIU, Markey's Rental & Staging, Bloomington/Monroe County Convention Center, The Green Nursery, IU Early Childhood Education Services, and IU School of Optometry's Pediatric Vision Clinic and Visual Development Lab.
