Last updated on Monday, January 26, 2015

(SEYMOUR) - A traffic stop along I-65 in Seymour lead to the arrest of two Kentucky men.

On Thursday afternoon, Indiana State Police Trooper James Wells observed the driver of a blue 2005 Mercedes make an unsafe lane change as it followed too closely behind another motorist while traveling south on I-65 near the 49 mile marker.

Trooper Wells stopped the vehicle and while speaking with the driver, developed probable cause to search the car. During the search, Trooper Wells located more than 170 credit cards. With the assistance of the United States Secret Service, the trooper discovered the cards had stolen credit card numbers on them.

Police arrested 29-year-old Rene Perez and 24-year-old Brian Diaz both of Louisville, Kentucky.

Both are facing charges of fraud and were taken to the Jackson County Jail.

The incident is still under investigation by ISP and the Secret Service. More charges are pending.
