Tiffanie Adams Case Could Be Ruled As Double Homicide

Last updated on Thursday, January 8, 2015

(SULLIVAN) - Sullivan County Prosecutor John Springer says the death of 20-year-old Tiffanie Adams could be ruled as a double homicide.

The case could be ruled as a double homicide because Adams was 32 weeks pregnant with a baby boy at the time of her death.

Springer says a medical professional would be required to testify on the viability of the fetus, or ability of the baby to survive on its own.

Tiffanie was last seen on November 5 walking from her father's home on North Broad Street to her mother's residence nearly one block away.

Adams' body was found a week ago in a cornfield northeast of Sullivan after she had been missing for nearly two months. Her body was discovered by a farmer while harvesting corn in a field near County Road 300 North and CR 325 East, northeast of Sullivan.

The coroner identified Adams by using dental records. Officials have yet to release a cause of death.

Anyone with information about the case is asked to contact the Indiana State Police or the Sullivan County Sheriff's Department.
