Three Arrested After Allegedly Beating Women With Brass Knuckles

(GREENE CO.) - Three Dugger residents accused of brutally beating two woman last week are sitting in the Greene County Jail without bond.

29-year-old Matthew William Farris, 22-year-old Philbert Levi Wright and 26-year-old Tiffany Roxanne Cullison are facing several felony battery charges.

The three are accused of traveling to a home on Furnace Road near Bloomfield and allegedly luring two females out of a home and beating them.

According to a probable cause affidavit, a passing motorist found one of the severely injured women and called 911.

A second woman was found in her home about 50 yards from the first victim. The women had been kicked, beaten with fists and brass knuckles.

The victims told police that one suspect yelled that if they told anyone about the incident, they would come back, kill them and burn the house down. Cullison is also accused of threatening the women with a knife.

The woman on the road was admitted to IU Bloomington Hospital after suffering she suffered a broken nose, broken bones in both hands, deep lacerations to her face that required sutures and large bruises to her back and rib areas.

The woman found at the road was treated and released from the Greene County Hospital after she was treated for a broken nose, lacerations to her chin and inside her mouth that both required stitches. Her dentures had also been broken.

Police say the home was ransacked with items destroyed and the home left damaged. The suspects also took more than $100 and broke the women's cell phones.
