(SULLIVAN CO.) - A Linton man was arrested Thursday afternoon, after an Indiana State Police trooper clocked the vehicle he was driving going 85-miles-per-hour on State Road 54.
At 3:19 p.m. Police Trooper Brent Robinson was on routine patrol when he clocked a speeding gold 1999 Ford SUV eastbound on State Road 54 near County Road 375 East traveling 85 miles-per-hour in a 55 miles-per-hour zone.
During the traffic stop, 38-year-old Jeffrey Griffith gave the trooper an invalid driver's license and a one pot meth lab was found in the backseat.
During a search of the vehicle, the trooper also found less than 3 grams of meth.
Griffith was arrested on charges of possession of meth, manufacturing meth, possession of precursors, illegal dumping of controlled waste, maintaining a common nuisance, reckless possession of drug paraphernalia and transported to the Sullivan County Jail.
The mobile lab was seized and dismantled by the ISP Putnamville Meth Suppression Unit.
Assisting were ISP Troopers Sergeant Tom Hannon, Timothy Henning, Byron Goodman, and Meth Suppression Troopers Adam Edwards, Shilo Raulston, B.J. Patterson, and Erik Smith.
