(MORGAN CO.) - Just after midnight Wednesday morning, Indiana State Troopers Chris Griggs and K9 Trooper Allen Deel were patrolling in the Brooklyn area in Morgan County when they noticed a vehicle with a defective headlight.
There was a passenger in the vehicle. But when asked if he had any identification, he told police he didn't. The passenger then gave troopers a false name and date of birth.
Through further investigation, police were able to identify the passenger as 39-year-old Dillard Johnson, of Indianapolis. Johnson was wanted on a warrant for escape from the Indiana Department of Corrections.
Johnson was arrested and taken to the Morgan County Jail.
