Lost River Market & Deli Hosting Chili Cook-Off

(PAOLI) - Lost River Market and Deli in Paoli is holding a chili cook-off with tastings and judging on Saturday, Jan. 31.

Anyone can come in and sample the chili contest offerings from 11:30 a.m - 1:30 p.m. The winning chili will be announced at 1:45 p.m.

Participants can register now by filling out a registration form at Lost River Market and Deli. Registration is free, and competitors will receive a $5 coupon good towards ingredients to use in the chili. The winner gets bragging rights and a $25 gift certificate.

The cook is responsible for supplying all ingredients and must bring it in a large crock pot, a ladle to serve and 20 copies of the recipe. Lost River will supply a tasting table, electricity, tasting cups and a judging ballot.

The chili will be judged by taste, aroma, consistency and appearance.

Anyone can act as a judge as long as they're at the store at the time of the event.
