Local Schools Ranked In Top 100 Best Public High Schools In Indiana

(UNDATED) - Niche Best Public High Schools ranks 14,431 high schools based on dozens of key statistics and 4.6 million opinions from 280,000 students and parents.

A high ranking indicates that the school is an exceptional academic institution with a diverse set of high-achieving students who rate their experience very highly.

An additional 834 schools received a grade but were not eligible for ranking. The list includes magnet, charter, and online schools.

In Monroe county Bloomington High School North ranked in the top 25 at number 21 with Bloomington High School South ranking at 41. Columbus North High School in Columbus made the top 50 with a ranking of 43 with Sullivan High School in Sullivan ranking 45. Rounding out the top 100 was Barr-Reeve Junior/Senior High School in Montgomery ranking at 66 and Columbus East High School in Columbus at 72 with Northeast Dubois High School in Dubois ranking at 85. Brown County High School in Nashville and Orleans High School in Orleans rounded out the top 100 ranking at 93 and 96.

Bedford North Lawrence ranked 189 with Mitchell taking the 330th spot.

The Best Public High Schools ranking provides a comprehensive assessment of the overall experience at public high schools in all 50 states, the District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico. It uses data sourced from various government and public data sets, Niche's own proprietary data, and 4,625,227 opinion-based survey responses across a variety of topics from 287,560 current students, recent alumni, and parents.
