(BEDFORD) - Sheriff Mike Branham has named Mark Jones to the position of communications supervisor.
Jones, who previously was an administrative assistant, will now oversee the department's dispatchers.
Travis Sanders is the new jail commander. He will train and supervise more than 30 people who work in the jail.
Branham is also looking to hire a patrol officer to fill former Sheriff Sam Craig's position, two jailers and hopes to receive permission from the county council to hire a third jailer by February.
He is also looking for a part-time jail matron to work with female inmates in addition to hiring a drug task officer.
