(BLOOMINGTON) - A Monroe County judge sentenced 43-year-old Bryant White of Bloomington to 40 years after conviction in heroin conspiracy case

White was found guilty during a trial in November of conspiracy to deal a controlled substance. He was found not guilty of a second count charging the same crime.

Monroe Circuit Judge Marc Kellams imposed the 40-year sentence on Monday.

White was arrested in July 2013 by U.S. Marshals in Indianapolis on multiple warrants out of Monroe County. Several bags of cocaine were seized at the time of his arrest.

White was held at Marion County Jail on a preliminary charge of possession of cocaine with an intent to deal and his out-of-county warrants, including failing to appear in court for a 2012 possession of marijuana charge, according to court records.
