(INDIANAPOLIS) - A Bloomington man was formally charged Tuesday in connection with several Indianapolis-area bank robberies.

50-year-old Arnold Jones was charged with two counts of robbery, one count of attempted robbery and one count of armed robbery in Marion County.

He is a suspect in the following bank robberies:

December 27, 2014 at the Fifth Third Bank at 5075 West Washington Street in Indianapolis.

December 27, 2014 at the Boost Mobile/American Money Check Cashing at 4308 West Washington Street in Indianapolis.

December 29, 2014 at the PNC Bank at 4355 East 10th Street in Indianapolis

Police say Jones was arrested after they released surveillance footage to the media and received numerous anonymous tips.

Officers arrested Jones without incident on Jan. 2 and he is currently being held in the Marion County Jail on a $100,000 bond.

He is also facing charges in Hamilton County and Monroe County for robbery.
