Last updated on Friday, January 23, 2015

(BEDFORD) - A Bedford man was arrested Thursday after he allegedly went to a home, got into a domestic fight with a woman and then hit a man that intervened.

According to Bedford Police Chief Dennis Parsley, a 24-year-old man came to the police station at 9:30 p.m. to report he had been battered by 45-year-old Danny McCloud.

"The man reported that there was a protective order in place against Mr. McCloud and that Mr. McCloud was still at the home," Parsley added. "The man also alleged that there was a domestic fight between Mr. McCloud and a female at the home and that he had attempted to intervene and that is when Mr. McCloud struck him on the side of the head and neck area."

Officers confirmed there was a protective order in place and then went to the home in the 700 block of Q Street.

"Officers found Mr. McCloud at the home and he was arrested for invasion of privacy and for battery," Parsley added.
