(SHOALS) - The Martin County Sheriff's Department found guns, thousands of rounds, military-grade body armor, and a police radio as well as 70 grams of meth in the home of a man arrested on Christmas Eve for resisting law enforcement.

Indiana State Police arrested 34-year-old Daniel Jackson of Shoals after Senior Trooper Jarrod Lents and Master Trooper David Qualkenbush served a petition to revoke Jackson's probation through Martin County on a charge of dealing cocaine.

After knocking on the front door, Lents heard Qualkenbush yell from the back of the residence for a subject to stop running. Jackson had exited the back door of the house and was attempting to flee from troopers. Jackson stopped and surrendered a short time later. He was then taken into custody without incident.

Jackson was lodged at the Martin County Jail on the warrant, as well as a new charge of resisting law enforcement.

Later that day, deputies from the Martin County Sheriff's Department gained further intelligence of Jackson's criminal actions.

Martin County deputies, with the assistance of the Indiana State Police and Shoals Police Department, executed a search warrant at Jackson's residence. During the search, officers located over 70 grams of meth, marijuana, controlled substances, several thousand rounds of ammunition with several guns, military grade body armor, and a police radio.

Jackson was further charged with dealing meth, possession of meth, possession of marijuana, possession of a firearm by a serious violent felon, maintaining a common nuisance and unlawful use of a police radio.

Jackson is currently being held in the Martin County Security Center without bond.
