(BLOOMINGTON) - A brother and sister are facing arson charges.

The two juveniles were arrested shortly before 3 a.m. Friday.

According to Bloomington Police, firefighters were called to a fire at 4:30 p.m. Thursday in a vacant home in the 1000 block of West 12th Street.

The two juveniles were seen running from the burning home.

When police arrived smoke was coming from the right side of the home.

Police talked to both juveniles who denied any involvement and blamed the fire on another group of juveniles.

But police say the two told family members that they had started the fire.

Police say the two allegedly set a blanket on fire in the house, but police are waiting for the arson investigator's finding before confirming how the fire started.
