Shoals Man Arrested On Narcotic Charges

Last updated on Wednesday, December 24, 2014

(SHOALS)- A Shoals man is behind bars today after Indiana State troopers arrested him on a felony narcotics warrant.

Around 10:52 a.m., Master Trooper David Qualkenbush and Senior Trooper Jarrod Lents arrived at 10084 Red School Road, in Shoals, looking for 34-year-old Daniel P. Jackson. Jackson was wanted through Martin County on a petition to revoke probation on the charge of dealing cocaine.

After knocking on the front door, Senior Trooper Lents heard Master Trooper Qualkenbush yell from the back of the residence for a person to stop running. Jackson had exited the back door of the house and was attempting to flee from troopers. Jackson stopped and surrendered a short time later, and was taken into custody without incident.

Jackson was lodged at the Martin County Jail on the warrant, as well as a new charge of resisting law enforcement.
