(PAOLI) - Two Bedford men who are accused of stabbing a West Baden Springs couple have been formally charged with attempted murder.

21-year-old Cody Lake and 20-year-old Tanner Stickney along with 20-year-old Kenzi Cox, also of Bedford, were arrested in Shelby County after a police pursuit Thursday night.

Lake and Stickney are facing felony charges of attempted murder; burglary and attempted robbery resulting in serious bodily injury. Their bond was set at $250,000 each.

Cox is facing felony charges of aiding, inducing or causing burglary with serious bodily injury. Her bond is set at $50,000.

In addition to the charges in Orange County, all three face charges in Shelby County. There, Lake is accused of resisting law enforcement and possession of a controlled substance. Stickney and Cox are charged with possession of a controlled substance.

On Dec. 4 the three were arrested after officers attempted to stop the three on Interstate 65 north of Columbus.

The pursuit traveled north on I-65, exited at the 80 mile marker, and traveled then east on State Road 252.

The suspects stopped near Flat Rock along State Road 252 in Shelby County and were taken into custody without incident at 5:17 p.m.

Earlier, Indiana State Police were looking for the two Lawrence County men and considered Stickney and Lake armed and dangerous.

The two were last seen traveling in a silver 2002 Pontiac with a printed sticker saying "Grand Prix" or "Grand Am" in the back window at the Bloomington Walmart.

According to police, the two men entered the home of Robert and Donna Meehan of West Baden Springs around 2:45 a.m. Thursday. The men, wearing hooded sweatshirts and masks, entered the home through a bathroom window on the north side of the home and confronted the couple, demanding money and medications.

After Robert refused to cooperate with the suspects, Robert suffered a stab wound to his arm and stomach. Donna suffered a stab wound to her neck. The suspects then fled the home.

The Meehans were transported to Indiana University Health of Paoli and then taken to the University of Louisville Hospital in Louisville for treatment. Mr. Meehan is listed in stable condition, while Mrs. Meehan was released that same morning after treatment.
