(BLOOMINGTON) - Bloomington police are investigating an attempted robbery.
Just before 9 p.m. Monday, a man reported that a black man, wearing a black mask over his face, approached him in the parking lot of an apartment complex in the 3100 block of East Goodnight Way.
The man demanded money, but the victim didn't have any. The man then searched the man's pockets and wallet and when he found no money, the thief threw the man's wallet and cell phone on the ground.
The man then jumped in a 4-door silver sedan which may have had other people inside.
Police ask anyone with information about the incident to call the Bloomington Police Department.
