(PEKIN) - The Pierce-Polk Fire Department recently added three trucks to its fleet, replacing some trucks, and adding others, bringing the number of trucks on the department to seven.
The latest addition is a 1994 International Crew Cab, purchased by the Township Trustees from Harrison Township Fire Department in Corydon. It was purchased for $56,000.
The timing of the truck becoming available couldn't have come at a better time as the Town of Pekin was due for an ISO insurance rate evaluation, and this truck had the required pumping capacity needed to maintain the town's current insurance rating.
