(MITCHELL) - A Mitchell man was arrested Tuesday night after he allegedly threw things that injured a pregnant woman and slapped a child under the age of 14.
According to Sheriff Sam Craig, police were called to the home in the 50 block of Daisy Lane at 8:23 p.m.
"A pregnant woman was injured after items were thrown and broken and she was hit with the debris," Sheriff Craig added. "She suffered some small cuts. Two other individuals were chocked and a juvenile was slapped."
Officers arrested 42-year-old Shawn Christianson on charges of battery causing injury to a pregnant woman, two counts of strangulation and battery causing injury and battery on a minor and battery in the presence of a minor.
"There were five children in the home when the incident happened," Craig says. "Child Protective Services was contacted."
